No two language Subjects can be taken together in Pass and Hons.
Mathematics can be opted with Honours in Economics/Education/Statistics.
Economics/ Education/ Statistics can be opted with mathematics Honours.
No Student is allowed to take Mathematics and Statistics if one does n't have
the subject at +2 stage.

Remedial Training Centre for SC/ST and Minorities

As desired by the Government of India, the Harijan and Tribal Welfare Department of the state has opened a Pre-Examination training Centre for Scheduled Caste / Tribe students which is attached to this college. At present two schemes are being operational in the Training Centre for providing coaching to the eligible SC/ST candidates. under the first scheme, intensive coaching is imparted to deserving SC / ST candidates only in English and General knowledge.Only twenty candidates can be admitted into lodging in a separate hostel. Students of the center shall receive a monthly stipend of Rs.250/- each, with condition that they become boarders and attend the coaching classes on a whole time basis. Under the second scheme Coaching is imparted to S.C / S.T. candidates only to enable them to sit for the competitive examinations held for the recruitment of clerks / assistants in the District Offices and Secretariat of the State Government. The minimum qualification for admission to this course is +2 pass. There are two half yearly terms: Forty candidates are admitted to the course in each batch, Intensive coaching is provided in English, Arithmetic, General Knowledge and Intelligence Test / Viva Voce. The trainees are providedwith free hostel accommodation and a monthly stipend of Rs.250/- each provided they reside in the hostel on a whole time basis. Government is contemplating to further expand the Pre-examination Training Schemes by providing coaching to cater to the needs of theRailway Sercice Commission, Staff Selection Commission and Banking Recruitment Boards.

Attendance At Lectures, Tutorials, Etc.


Each year a student is required to attend in each subject a minimum of 75% of lectures calculated separately for theory, practical, and tutorials, in order to be eligible for promotion to the next higher class or for being sent up for the Final Examination. The authorities may, however, condone the deficiency of attendance to the extent of 15% only in exceptional cases.The appropriate authorities can further condone the attendance to the extent of another 5% in case of those who are deputed by the Government or the College for any purpose.
